  • How long does it take to receive a certificate after a completion of an OL course?

The certificate will be emailed to you within 3 weeks after you successfully complete the course. To pass the course and earn a certificate of completion, you must obtain an average score of 60% or more on all graded questions.

  • After 3 weeks of the completion of a course, I still have not received my certificate. What do I do?

Please check your spam first. If you still don’t see it, then contact,  we will confirm the date your certificate was emailed to you, the email address to which it was mailed and, if necessary, issue you a new certificate.

  • Is there a fee associated with course attendance?

No, except if you are from advanced economy country or international agency approved to receive IMF training. If admitted, you will attend as self-financed. Air fare i.e., accommodation, subsistence will be provided by you or your agency. Otherwise, all courses are free of charge for eligible government officials.

  • How do I know if I am eligible to apply to a course?

  • If the application deadline has passed, can I still register for the course?

No, late applications are not accepted, please wait till the next offering of the course or apply to other courses of interest.

  • Are courses offered in other languages other than English?

Yes, courses are also offered in Arabic, French and Spanish at HQ. Regional training centers offer courses in other languages. For additional information please visit:

  • How do I know if I have not been selected for a course?

Follow your application status by logging in to the online application system. Only selected or waitlisted candidates will receive email notification of their status when selections are finalized.

  • What is the specific selection criteria?

Our courses are very competitive, selection criteria include but are not limited to: job relevance, previous attendance, work experience, language proficiency, etc.

  • If I fail an OL course, can I retake it?

Yes, you are encouraged to retake the course at the next offering.
